2 whatitz plants from my am walk

Found a couple of goodies from my morning stroll,I need id'ed. Thought this first one might be wild quinine but ..NOT! It's blooming for a couple weeks I guess. Plant is about 5 ft. tall, leaves med green,lance-shaped and alternating(?)White flowers are mostly atop the plant, the most petals I counted on one single flower is 6,apx.1/2"long by half that wide. Each black stamen is inside a white tube. There's a white thingy(PP botanical term) coming out of tube that look like T's with the ends spitcurled but they're so small,I can't tell if they are coming out of the top of the stamen or sharing the white tube the stamens inside. When cut,it had a strong scent kinda like sassafrass.

Second is a vine. Fruits are in a ball-like cluster, each berry a little bigger than a pencil eraser. At first glance from distance, they look black but up close they're actually deep red purple. Vine looks like green brair but I pulled it down several foot and found no brairs.
