Nice!!!! @#@%$%^ I have about that many too, and I would appreciate someone with an Uzi also. They were less offensive during the Summer, but have just finished off about half of the hosta and daylily leaves that grew during their diet time. Also they have stomped about half the things they didn't eat into the dirt.

oh my gosh ... what're they doing, having a party? cans and bottles all over the place the next morning??? boy, this really puts things in perspective for me...suddenly, my deer problems seem so small!

I think they were more curious than anything - not much left in there to eat but a few old tomatoes. They actually don't do too much damage now because of all the apples on the ground around here. But when the apples are all gone look out!

I heard yesterday that PA is the # 1 state in the nation for deer/vehicle accidents.

We've got a similar number of deer where I live. The cornfield up the street is always full of deer. I counted 45 animals one day.

I recently read that they'd changed the deer-hunting rules in PA to try to control the population and improve the quality of the herd.

I think we're going to be w/ this problem for a long time. With the urban sprawl and the deer able to adapt to the changing environment, there is no easy answer. The game commision can only do so much and w/ more properties being posted and the deer living practically among us makes the job even harder. I know of one state trying birth control but its too early to tell if it will work.
Love to watch them but the herd keeps growing and getting more destructive.
