Your corten planters are absolutely stunning! They appear very thick--did you use 1/2" on this application? Thank you in advance.

Do you have any under-structures below these planters? Is 1/2" the minimum before steel starts to bow from interior fill weight or added water weight. How do you allow for drainage? Are corners overlapped or capped(as I perceive them)? Great space saver -how does it do for heat dissemination? ie: would these work in Northern California where it is not desert-like?
