Question on seed placement

Hello. I recently acquired several Foxtail, Bismarck, and Sylvester palm seeds. I have had success before in germinating CIDP and Med. Date Palm seeds. I figure I can germinate the Sylvester the same as those.

I soaked the Foxtail seeds for 48 hours, water changed after 24(yes they all sank). I drilled holes in 24oz plastic cups and filled them up with sphagnum/perlite. Do I have to scar the Foxtail seeds? Do I plant them on top of the soil half exposed? I searched this site and several blogs, and came up with no definitive answer.

I also soaked my Bismarcks for 48 (yeas they all sank). I will be planting them tonight when I get home from work. My question on those is how deep do I have to plant them? Can I put them in a community pot like I did my Sylvesters? I am running out of room on my heat mat and my wife is already giving me funny looks because her laundary room is half full and the porch looks like a greenhouse. Thanks in advance for any help.
