I decided to try to root hollow cuttings with my platyloba. After readings different info on it, I decided to try it my own way. First, make your 45 degree angle cut. Then lightly and gently shave away a half inch to an inch of outer skin completely around base of cut. Next dip in rooting hormorne from base of cutting and covering slightly above exposed skin. If using gel rooting hormone, leave in solution for 1 minute. Now place in glass of water in windowsill or under a grow bulb. Change water every 3 days. In 5 days I noticed 1.5 inches swelling. In 10 days the root are very noticeable
