BTW, we live about 1/2 an hour away from each other... maybe we could compare notes on this if you are trying again this year? I have several tomato plants I'd like to take cuttings from.

short story, they all croaked. i was very busy at that time of the year building a greenhouse and am sure they got very little attention.

i started some patio f 1's about 4 weeks ago and they are doing fine. will bring them in when the cold weather hits.

do you have determinates that you are going to take cuttings from?

Nope.
All of my plants are indeterminates. Although...

I have some plants from the cross hemisphere dwarf project that might do well indoors...

And Whippersnapper chery is tiny but tough. It might do well aslo.

All the others are big indeterminate heirlooms.

BTW, how'd the greenhouse turn out?

the greenhouse will suit my needs. since i retired all i had was time and it saved me about 3g's.

I'm taking cuttings to root. I want to have a few mature specimens for a talk on heirlooms I'm giving in March. I've never made tomato clones before, so I'm curious to see if it works out.

The only small plant I had, Whippersnapper, didn't take to cuttings very well, they all dried up...
