That is one of the few varieties that fruit well for me and the seeds germinate fast. I think it's a beautiful flower.

I'm not sure if it's palatable. I touched the tip of my tongue to it and mine tasted nasty it didn't have a sweet scent either. I also let the fruit become very overripe so maybe that was a reason for the bad taste. I wait until it drops from the plant to collect it. The seeds germinated so fast and grew really quick, much faster than any other variety that I've tried from seed. Within a few months I had 5' seedlings.
