When the fruit turns fully orange, it's ready. I kept waiting for it to drop, like my incarnata, and the fruits shriveled up into little ugly prune-like things and still wouldn't fall. If you just want them for seed, you can leave them on for as long as you want. But if you want to eat them, then as soon as it's completely turned orange is probably the best time to pick it (a word of warning, "bland" is probably too generous a description of caerulea fruit flavor. It's edible, but not very rewarding).

thanks for the info - mine are green! So guessing I have a ways to wait. My kids love trying new things - I'm sure it won't become their new favorite thing - but the want to taste it - just to say they have (lol)

Why do my passion flowers never produce fruit ??? could it be because they are only young. I get plenty of flowers. xxx

There is not much pulp in caerulea either.And "bland" is to generous. Its just plain blah! LOL

Pics of ripe and unripe fruit here. Daffs some Passiflora need a second plant that is not a cutting of the first to set fruit.
