Neighbor attacks my passiflora

WOW! Thought I'd heard it all. Today I came home from work and noticed my 2 year old passiflora incarnata was "gone" It is planted on a split rail fence about 2 feet on my property from the neighbor (the neighbor has alienated everyone in the neighborhood but me and a few others) The landscaper had cut most of it out when he was working for her. I thought this was an honest mistake so I walked up to her and she laid into me. Screaming that "that vine" was coming up in her bed so "I told them to go over there and cut that down." Well, you can guess how it went from there. I took the high road and turned and left. It turned out she told the landscaper that was still her property. The funny thing is was that the vine on the fence was not on her property anywhere and that there were a very few suckers coming up in her neighboring bed that I would have been more than happy to pull. Oh well, it took 8 years but now I'm on the bad neighbor list with all the others. Too bad, that passiflora was just getting ready to bloom. Who'd think such a beautiful flower could cause that!!!!
