Chena, where have you found to purchase mexicana? Desert Survivors in Tuscon is the only place I know of that has it, and they don't ship...

I will be going to Tuscon later this spring and definitely plan on getting some of these! It is about a 3 hr drive from here.

I found one in Tucson after contacting them found out they don't send.. and the other was called Cannapee..I have sent them a message but I haven't heard back as of yet..Sorry if I made it sound as tho they were in my hand...
I have a friend in Phenoix and one Alberque who are checking in to see what they can find...

After I go , I would gladly be willing to do some trades :) I dont know how big a container they come in etc but I am also pretty good at rooting things. Probably wont go until March some time. I have some other places I need to go to in Tuscon and my aunt lives in Green Valley and my dh's aunt lives in Patagonia and Tuscon is on the way to both of those cities. Tusxon also has a great botanical garden and usually has a 'wierd and wonderful' plant sale in the spring, gonna have to look up thier website again lol.

A poster on the Arizona Gardening forum was kind enough to pick me one up last year. IIRC, they were sold in one-gallon containers. The plants were pretty small in March, just coming out of their winter slumber.

A word of warning from personal experience--don't over-water this one.
