What about butternuts?

Butternuts are being killed off locally by a disease. My buartnut is a butternut-heartnut cross that is resistant.

Here on pei I have been experimenting for 5 years with many different nut trees including all the ones mentioned by you the ones that are borderline here would be carpathian walnut,mullberry[red],northern pecan and hardy almond. Ihave had limited sucsess with these fellows,asthey seem to get tip-burn ,however I believe this can be adjusted by giving them lower N compost and changing their micro site to a higher slope
