Corn is going crazy. I'm 6ft tall. Variety is Reid's Yellow Dent.

Hey Reed! Ditto what Lisa said!!! And about the ring - don't guess she'd settle for one out of corn tassles? haha!

Just picked my first ripe mater yesterday - and it was a Lemon Boy. Those crossed black cherry's still look tasty!

Glad everything is coming up roses for you!!! (err...veggies)

Reed, Everything looks so nice and I'm glad you found a woman worthy of you, so keep us posted and let us know when you put a ring on it.

How would you describe the flavor of your Porter Charles Herring strain x Black Cherry cross? Does it taste like either one of them or does it have a unique flavor all its' own?

We're in tomato heaven right now, despite having two rows of the plants hit by herbicide drift from somewhere a couple of weeks ago. Today I spent a couple of hours doing prep work for the first few batches of salsa of the season. Tomorrow I'll be canning 5 batches, which means that in my fridge right now I have 40 cups of processed tomatoes. June tends to be when all that springtime planning and planting really pays off. I love June.

It is so good to hear you sounding so happy again, I know last year was rough, but look at how good things are now. I'm so happy for you.

Dawn, the hybrid isn't good. Large core and kind of bland. Core is pretty fibrous for a plum/Cherry/salad type.

Wow! Where's the bread, bacon and mayo? NICE maters.

Let us know how the corn turns out. I have these but planted Bantam this year. IF it's yummy and productive I'll try it next year.
