I feel for your problem.... I know pests can be bad in the south...... is there any way your pest control man could put a paste like deterrent around crevices????? rather than a spray?????? I know that when we owned a restaurant we had to put a paste like deterrent for bugs around windows.... at least it didn't leak and disturb much else...... a spray is probably the worst thing for the enviroment....... I wonder if this would work on your scale.......

We put sticky traps in all our heater/airconditioner vents - I change them twice a month. When we first moved here scorpions were a big problem - this has really brought them under control - might work for those big Florida roaches too.

I lived in South Florida most of my life and can attest that roaches can be big enough to saddle and ride in a rodeo.

We ONLY sprayed inside the house and the door and window jambs outside the house. Being sure to spray all four sides, not just the window ledge or threshold. Also, minute cracks in cabinetry & built-ins and openings to wall cavities like plumbing & electrical plates should be removed and sprayed. We did this ourselves about once a month with the gallon size bug spray from walmart or similar with much success. At one point, we switched to a service similar to the one you mentioned and saw an increase in bugs inside and less beneficials outside. Didn't take long to switch back.
