Hi Sue. Thank you so much for your compliment, it is so appreciated! I think that at 3' wide you should try and keep your pendant diameter no bigger than 16-18" otherwise they would overwhelm the space. Additionally, two should be ample to make a strong statement; I think three would look cluttered and take away from the feel overall. These particular lights are 24" in diameter by 21"H so another thing you need to consider with your selection is your ceiling height; these are shown in a 9' ceiling.
