Depends on the parents of the seeds. Some parents produce very nice offsprings, others just pink singles. I have seen offsprings of Salmon Dream and Moonrise and they are very nice. Seeds from fernleaf species or the species peonies maybe worthwhile to grow from as they are special and much coveted. If you can get a double pink tenufolia peony, you may as well hit the jackpot.

If I want to cross an early-flowering pollen donor with a later-flowering type, do I need to preserve the pollen by, say, freezing or refrigerating it?
