Its still early spring, do nothing yet. Only a few of my windmills have started growing. The damaged palms will be much slower and take longer to show signs of life. Best of luck.

There is a Georgia Power easement from North to South across the backyard. It acts like a wind tunnel. The ridiculous moisture the last 8 months did not help. But we are tropical people. So regroup and go at it again. :)

I faired much better up here in Habersham County...only lost one young windmill. My 15 footer took some major frond damage but has 3-4 new ones pushing out now. Med Fan totally defoliate but is also pushing new fronds out. Finally, all needles and sabal minors show zero damage. I do put a 100 watt spotlight about 18" from the emerging spears on nights dropping below 20 degrees though. Even that didn't keep my Med Fan from defoliating but did likely save it from certain doom after our winter. Good riddance Jack Frost!

I lost all my windmills. Only thing that survived was part of a Needle and Sabal minors. Also lost loquats. Little Gem magnolias and rosemary were toasted too. I still feel beaten up by this past Winter!

I am giving my Windmills time to recover, but I am not positive.

I also lost some Hardy Citrus, a Pomegranate tree.four Pittosporums, and even a couple of Zone 7 Gardenias that were planted in the Fall.

I may restrict myself to safe choices from here on.
