Nice palm. Do you plan on protecting it or digging it up?

Any reason so close to house for an "annual" palm?

Nice find! Definitely helps with the tropical look. I can't even buy annuals without paying a ton of money ately so a palm of that size for $35 is worth it! I saw majesty palms being sold a nursery for $100 and they were not too big either!

Palm is in pot, in ground for easy removal in the Fall. Hope to get another season out of it because the only spot where it will fit in the house is just past that back door. The bed it's in is normally reserved for just annual flowers (impatiens, begonias, etc.). Left a row clear for just this purpose, explaining proximity to the house. Will put a couple of Majesties on either side if I too can find them at a reasonable price. HD has been closest in that regard...but, still a little too much for my liking. Nursery where this was purchased had them, but an eighth the size and almost as much in cost. Yet, they always sell Queens at great prices. Just couldn't pass on this one...and it was "found" money anyway.
