unless you plan on eating the leaves... please dont expect perfectly clean leaves.. the crop is the goal..

is it one leaf??? if so.. pinch it off and move on ...

disturb the soil.. see whats there.. look under the pot... look at night.. try to figure it out ..

but unless there is some threat to the plant.. there is nothing that need be done... and superficial leaf damage is usually not a threat ....

and that is a hard lesson for a newb to understand ...

i dont understand why i cant focus on the pic... as its in focus.. i think its a contrast thing??? .... anyway ... is there a miner trail... like something inside the leaf???

Hey thanks this is the badest left wih most damage..a few brown spots on tips of leaves. Underneath the leaves are totally fine.

I see leaf miner damage. Leaf miners are very common on beans (and other plants, too).

How do i deal with it??

Since I see brown frass in the little tunnels and relatively early in the season, the tiny larvae may still be present, feeding in the bean tissue between the upper and lower surfaces of the leaf. You can squish them so that they can't grow up to be the very small adult fly, moth, or beetle, depending upon the species.

Or, you can remove the leaf and throw it away (in the garbage) . If you end up with a terrible infestation, we can go to "plan B".

I suggest that you take an affected leaf and hold it up to the light to learn a bit more about leaf miners. You can also use Google to do a tiny bit of research on leaf miners in general or leaf miners on beans.

I see the little tunnels now. Wow thanks for the enlightenment. When i get rid of them. Will they come back. How to protect in the future.
