Are you sure the babies aren't already there? That might be part of her determination. The mother spends a lot of time out of the nest and goes back to it primarily only to feed the babies. If that's the case, it would explain why she's been so persistant about getting in.

Haven't dealt with fox urine (except what the foxes would really leave) so I can't address that one -- but the real stuff does smell :) and never kept rabbits out of my yard. Bells probably won't scare her, or not for long. I don't know if a rabbit is large enough to set off a motion detector -- bet your neighbors would love it, though! :) Rabbit fence (chicken wire) works well but you have to secure it to the ground so they can't get under it. I always had good luck with it but it does have to be secure. And depending on what the rabbits were after, sometimes I just shared. I know they're a pest but I always enjoyed having them around.

Hi, Carol Ann, no, the babies aren't there. I have filled up the hole about 6 times now!!!. Last year a mommy tried to do the same in my tomato bed about 4 times until she gave up. I also had a rather large dog...unfortunately he passed away last August. I do love the bunnies...that is why my husband thinks this is funny. I ended up spraying dome "deer off" around the fence line and perimeter of the raised beds. I did tie the jingle bells on the fence. She didn't get in last night, but she seems to try every few days. My neighbor keeps wanting to let her killer toy poodle in my yard...great, that's what I need...a dead rabbit and a torn up garden! Maybe I'll double up the fencing - I think I have enough left!! Dear Carol Ann,
I have always had good luck with dried blood sprinkled on plants and soil around areas I want to keep rabbits away from. It helps to sprinkle it on damp leaves and on soil around the plants especially with seedlings that are so vulnerable to rabbit damage.

Ask your neighbor for her dog's hair the next time he/she gets clipped or sheds. It repells rabbits! I just spread it out around the base of my green beans and they stopped eating the plants.

Pour human urine around the entrance to her burrow if she starts it again. And when you plug the entrance afterwards, put some rubble in below the surface to make it harder to redig it.
