Last year i put a Bismarckia seed in the ground in the center of a planned flower bed. Turns out i forgot all about it and eventually ripped out the lawn to landscape the new bed. Today, as i was planting a couple of Agave Desmettiana Variegata, i found a silvery/purple frond right where i had placed the seed! Who knows how many times i mowed over it when the lawn was still there. This palm is a true survivor.
