You could always give up a room in your house and plant them all. You'd most likely have close to 100% germination with fresh seeds.

Laurie...you could do as Karyn suggests or put them on eBay, as I'm sure they would go like hot-cakes!
So that is what the inside of a plumie seed pod looks like is it? Bizarre. I had no idea, I just assumed there was perhaps a row of seeds down each side of the case. Never imagined they were dotted with seeds all over!
I would take a few from each pod to hedge your bets and see what pops up!

Yes I sure do need plant pots. I've tried finding those plastic black ones but totally cannot find them anywhere. Gill, do you want some more seeds? I've thought about posting a few on Ebay. I don't know the color of the flowers, but sure they would probably sell anyway. Altho first I'd like to give to those who want here on the forum.

It's very kind of you that you want to share these beautiful seeds with friends here instead of selling them!! I would love to have some!! but I am afraid I am far away from the states and how could you send them to me? :-)
I am in Athens, Greece (Europe).

I will take them to our post office! I've sent them overseas before. Some countries are very strict through customs, and I am not familiar with which countries. I know Austrailia is very tough. So, we could give it a shot. If they reach you, fantastic. If not, well at least we tried. If you click on the (My Page) there is my e-mail address, or a link I think to email me. Email me your address and I will get them out to you either Monday or Tuesday of next week.

Congrats on your seed pods Lauri.Very nice of you to offer them to the forum members! My seedlings (seeds from Jerri) are bursting forth with new leaves. I thought I had lost them. Took em a while to come out of dormancy. Things are starting to green up around here. :-)

Laurie, thanks for the offer, I would love a couple more, then that would really get my collection going. But pleeeeeease, offer them to the others first and then sell what you can on eBay as you were kind enough to mail me the others earlier. If you have a couple to spare after that, then yes, I would love to have a go at some more. You are very kind! Just wish I could get some black pots for you, we have them over here in the garden centres, but never see them for sale...odd isn't it?
I will contact my son and ask him if he has any dollars left over from his trip last year (have searched his room to no avail, but I'm sure he has some, somewhere!) and send you some postage....ok?

Gill, I'm sure I will have plenty, and you don't need to send me some postage. It cost less than a dollar to send you seeds before, which is not very much at all. Just loose change in the pocket. It would cost you that much to send it to me! So send me your address again so I can send you some!

Oh and Mickey, Yes we know but we also know it is well worth the wait! As they say, "Patience is a vertue"...

Leaving in the states all of you as I understand, you have plenty of opportunities to buy, share, find as many different kinds of plummerias as you like. But leaving in Greece it is very difficult to find even a good sugestion of how one can grow this beautiful plant as no one knows about it. Only in the island of Rhodes and in a few places in Crete (both south of Greece) they have this plant at home for their pleasure and not for selling or sharing. I am very glad I found this forum where I can learn a lot about plumerias farming.

Wow, that's very cool! Thank you for posting a picture. My parents currently have a pod but it's still purple. I was wondering what the end result will look like.

Stemm I'm near Washington, DC and nobody sells plumerias here. Many of the nurseries don't even know what a plumeria is. Even the chain garden centers that carry plumies in their west coast and Florida stores don't carry them in in my area. I rely solely on online nurseries, Ebay and other members to obtain plants. I was so happy to find this forum also.

And it's the same here as with what Karyn said. Not really anywhere to buy them here, except about thirty miles from here there is a plumeria nursery I have been to once. None of the other nursery around here sells them, or even heard of them. I went in to one of them once, stated I am a plumeriaholic, and they didn't even know what a plumeria was. Blew me away someone working in a nursery not knowing what a plumeria is.
Sheeesh!
