Beautiful! I have never seen so many butterflies than we have had around our zinnias this year and the hummingbirds are loving them too.

I have never successfully grown them without them getting powdery mildew.

But I have also not tried them here yet, at my new to me house.

Thanks for the reminder. I shall get me some seeds next year.

Another color. Have never had the mold. Slight issue only with wilted leaves due to dog pee. What do you do? If anyone wants some seeds, I shall have plenty of seeds come fall. Just give me a shout.

Mine are doing great as well. My zinnias generally reseed, and then if we don't get enough volunteers, I'll scatter sow some seed in the bare spots. We have had oodles of bees, butterflies and hummers this summer. I think they are enjoying the slightly cooler weather as much as the zinnias are. This year we have mostly pinks, with a few purples, reds, and the green Envy variety.

I did plant the orange-flowered Profusion zinnia near the cucumbers in the back garden and it is a bee, butterfly and hummingbird magnet as well.

Zinnias are one of my favorite flowers. We have grown them for as long as I can remember---at least since we bought our first house in the 1980s, and my dad and mom had them in their flower bed by the front porch when I was a kid.

Moni, There are a few mildew-tolerant types in the hybrid zinnia world. Oddly, though, when I have grown some of these mildew-tolerant types, they tend to get powdery mildew even when the older, open-pollinated ones do not. So, I just mostly stick to the older types, This year we have lost only one plant to powdery mildew, and it has been fairly wet here for the last 6 weeks or so.
