Incase you read this I'll try and help.
Was it bare root? Sometimes bare roots takes a bit longer to get going. I planted a bare root methley and a container Santa Rosa plain at the same time. Both were dormant and the Santa rosa broke buds about 3 weeks sooner. Scrape a small bit of bark and check the cambium. If its bright green and moist then there is still life.
