What is on my Squash

Tiny green dots are all over the yellow squash flowers. They look like eggs. There are also thousands of ants all over the flowers (and some under the leaves next to the flowers) and my other container plants. I'm not sure what to do about the ants or the egg looking things. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I would suggest that your 'egg' looking 'dots' are aphids and that the ants are after the honeydew that aphids excrete 24/7. Do a google on aphids, take a better look at your 'dots' and get back to us.

Did some research on here and learned of the aphid/ant relationship. Very interesting!! Anyway, I took the water hose to the squash plant and got rid of all of the "dots."

None of my other plants show signs, but I'll keep the hose handy.
