I thought I had a vine borer in a zucchini plant. When I cut into the vine, I realized it was a bacterial infection.

I cut off the vine that was infected, but further reading suggests I should trash the entire plant? There are two zucchini plants in that hill. Should I trash them both just in case?

I hate to trash both if the one doesn't get infected. But I definitely have my fair share of cucumber beetles, so I hate to leave the one if it's about to succumb anyway. So I'd love to hear from anyone who has dealt with bacterial wilt before.
