Someone on another board recently mentioned that sagos burn yearly in Dallas but usually will come back. If you're going to plant it in the ground, I would wait until next spring to give it the most time to get established.

If I were in Dallas, I'd plant it outside. Cycads are simpy not very good HOUSEplants. You have the Winter cold advantage of being in a fairly dry climate. I would try to give it an eastern exposure and keep it out of a western or southern exposure. Waiting until Spring might not be a bad idea though. Provide good drainage, water when necessary especially in Summer heat. Good luck!

Okay I have repotted inside for now and will move pot outside to southeast porch and await spring to plant in ground. Thanks!
