There are lots of caterpillars that feed on flowers.....the petals, buds, pollen, everything. Something has been chewing on yours. :-)

I don't know what kind it is.....but all caterpillars start out very tiny. We silly humans just don't seem to see things until half our plant is missing and the culprit is as big as a house!

Yours looks like one of the many geometer (inch worm) caterpillars, very often spotted on our flowers.

Thanks Rhizo1.. LOL.. I realize all cats start out small. :)

So, this just might be from a smaller type of moth/butterfly and not the bane of many.. hornworms and loopers?
