Great news! Thanks for the update. Hopefully you can get it to push out a couple normal-sized fronds this fall to carry it through til next spring. That's a perfect example of the effectiveness of trunk cutting.

Can you tell me what you used to make the cuts? I've tried to cut a couple palms before with a standard hand saw and it was like sawing into concrete. The boots were very tough.

Used a landscaping bow saw with rough cut teeth. Think it helped that I cut away the fur beforehand. Agree about the boots and difficulty. Took several breaks...but, for now at any rate, well worth it. Praying for a normal Winter 'round here.
