insect id please.

went to go wash my aphids off this morning and found this creature. Is it helping with my aphid infestation or is it an adult aphid? I have tried google but don't think it is an adult aphid as it's a bit bigger and has a long body instead of a round one. it looks similar to a lacewing although it's body is longer, so any ideas?

The Aphids you see on your plants are adults and that may be a predator of Aphids, or provides larva that are.

Hmm so many similar insects, it also looks like a mayfly but I don't have any water near by.

It does look like a mayfly...and they *do* have wings...so can travel. Maybe it was caught by storm winds.

Mayfly.

An adult aphid looks exactly like one that has just been born, only bigger. Aphids do not undergo a complete metamorphosis as some insects do.
