Toba's Fire is a dark orange with some red tones, but in cooler micro climates it stays on the yellow side. I have only had mine bloom orange a few times and usually in late Aug or Sep/Oct if their is a heat wave.

The scent is on the light side...sweet with a little spice in the mix. The one I posted is still bag rooting but I don't think full sun will be the place to pot/plant it. The sun, lately, has been super strong and everyone is letting me know if they prefer it or not. This is the first bloom so I'm wondering if the colour will darken with time?

If you have enough heat (85 or higher) and full sun it will get darker. Usually my Oranges like Kimo, Ca Sunset, UHO, Tobas Fire, Paul Weissich, Lava flow, usually stay yellow unless there is enough heat and sun, then they pick up the correct colors.

Color is most effected by heat and lighting...

Really like this one! What is the habit of the plant? Tall? Compact?

then it would be a deep orange here, 92 heat index at 0600 this am. Temp of 82. We don`t cool off at night like Houston does but we don`t get as hot, usually, during the day.

No not one of JL's. Tobas Fire is a seedling of a famous Maui grower Richard Toba. Exotic plumeria sells TF under another name (Allen Bunch renamed it), I think MPG had it at one point as they do sell a few of Mr Tobas plumies like Unclie Robbie,Uncle Ron and Samantha Jade. My Aurora was a seedling I received from Mr Toba as a child in the 1979.
