Your weather must have been a little wicked.

It seems odd to be having such strong thunderstorms and tornadoes in October but, of course, in our part of the country you can have Tstorms and tornadoes any time.

At our house, the wind and rain brought down lots of leaves that were just starting to color up, and blew around some of my empty 5-gallon buckes. The hammock did keep trying to go airborne, but other than a few small tree limbs coming down, we didn't have any real damage to speak of.

We were happy to have some rain fall because the top couple of inches of soil were very dry.

It sure seems like we've had virtually every kind of garden-destroying weather possible this year. I'm hoping the weather will be kinder and gentler in 2011.
