Your Iris is beautiful! I didn't even know they bloomed in fall but my sister's neighbor was getting rid of a whole yard of "show irises" & I got some. They were a beautiful purple in spring & then, lo & behold, there they were in the fall! I was stunned but thrilled. I know you will enjoy yours as much as I do mine.

There are quite a few remontant irises that bloom in both spring and fall, though sometimes if the weather conditions are very difficult, they might only bloom in fall or spring. Usually when you see the corms for sale they are labeled as reblooming irises. Technically one rhizome isn't actually producing flowers twice in one year. What actually happens, I think, is that it does it spring blooming and then it makes another offshoot afterwards. That offshoot is the part of the plant that will give you the fall blooms.

Remontant irises have been around for decades, but have only begun to get lots of attention in the last decade or so.

I'm going to link the webpages from Iris Warehouse that show the remontant varieties they offer. They have 68 different ones. I even see a handful of remontant irises in Wal-Mart in mid- to late winter whenever they get the flower bulbs, corms and rhizomes in....about the same time you see bare-root strawberry, rhubarb or asparagus sold in plastic bags.

I have one that blooms in the fall and there are more new ones now that bloom in the fall and one white one that blooms off and on all summer. I saw it in a nursery gardening book. It was name immortal or something similar.
