Is it indoors or out? Spider mites very common on landscape plants grown indoors.

It's outdoors. I looked before and couldn't see any bugs on top nor the back of the leaves, but I'll check again tomorrow. I googled leaves with spider mites and some pictures do look similar to my leaves. Are spider mites always orange? If I find any, how do I get rid of them? Can I still save the plant?

No, spider mites aren't always orange. More like a faint dusty gray and very tiny.

I had to look very hard with a magnifier glass and I think I did find spider mites. They're super tiny and orange, I cannot see the legs but they're orange tiny little bugs. Not sure if I would see them with the naked eye. Does this sound like spider mites?? A lot of the plant is damaged but I couldn't find that many of the mites. Does that make sense? Also most of the under part of the damaged leaves have some kind of very fine "spider web" between the veins. How do I get rid of the mites???

Yes, that sounds like spider mites. The tiny yellow dots on the leaves are typical of their presence. They can be washed off with water, a little rubbing while rinsing. The larger brown patches are something else, I think, but not sure what. How long has your shrub been in the same pot/soil? If it has run out of room for roots to grow it could be struggling generally, thus making it more vulnerable to attack by pests. Do you have a pic of the whole plant?
