In the past I've received some cuttings that were rather thin, very green and had large spacing between the petiole scars. I've found these 'green' cuttings to be more difficult to root than the beefy, more mature cuttings. Can anyone offer any advice for special handling of these types of cuttings?

In the past I've found I had to graft them to save some of them. Interestingly, in my very limited grafting experience, I seem to have a higher percentage of successful takes with these 'green' scions than with the thicker, more mature scions, but that may be due to my inexperience in grafting. Anyone have any experience to share?
