check here or you can check with your County Extension office for micro climate info.

Here is a link that might be useful: USDAzones

Just guessing, you are zone 11.

You prolly can do without the shade screen. Hot peppers can't get enough light. If they've been growing under the shade for a while, don't put them in full sun right away or they'll get sun burned. You'll want to ease them into full sun.

I'm familiar with Yuma, but not your winter weather. What are your lows?

Thanks for the reply,i think dec.jan.feb can get to 36 degrees for the night time lows.It gets hotter than hell in summer time. The shade im using lets alot of sun through but doesnt let them burn i think im new to this.

take advice from people who grow in your climate.

I will guess that you can grow the pequin or chilpequin. this is a wild pepper that grows in your area or there abouts and will grow for years. really great tasting and hot but a small pepper. there are many varieties like the bird pepper that maybe a little larger than the tiny ball ones.

this pepper growing wild in your area might grow best under trees so still might like a little shade.

do you know what percentage of the sun your shade cloth blocks. just interested. I have some 20% blocking shade cloth and it does not block much.
