Indeed, different plants react differently.

I would caution you not to overwater. It would be more advantageous to provide a bit of shade.
Also, if the plants are in containers, shading the root-zone is a very effective strategy -
either using light-colored materials or a screen of some type.

As the season progresses, however, your plants should become more durable.

Pot size you did not mention, are they in smaller pots than the others? I have a few Bhuts in starter pots and some Thai hots in a larger pot as well as Thai hogs same size but in smaller pots and the ones in the smaller require more water. Hope this helps.
