will they survive

I have two cuttings that struggled from word go. Originally these were 12 to 14 inches...now both are smaller due to rotting or poor planning on my part. I planted these exactly how I've done my others for years with no problems...but these appear to be on life support at this point.

I am trying to decide if they will root this small or throw them away. I figured I would try one last time, but I looking for a different method. For my others I used 50/50 potting soil to perlite...I was thinking to do something like...all perite with the rooting hormone or something.

Also the cutting ends have been calisin for about a week or two. The shorter of the two has not calised very well. Both cuttings are firm. I'll attach he'd a couple photos to see what yall think.

I would gladly listen to ya'lls opinions as I really don't want to lose these. Both of these were in tended for both of my daughters mickey and Minnie mouse flower pots I made them.

One daughter picked an intense rainbow and the other wanted the Aztec gold. I could just go buy another set, but they actually picked these out...
