Bumpy Pepper Leaves

I'm growing Ajis and Chinese peppers and it seems like all my Chinese peppers have leaves that are bumpy. The Ajis are just fine. I have the Chinese peppers both in raised beds and in containers. They all have bumpy leaves like this:

I'm thinking it may be calcium deficiency, but when I prepared the potting mix back in March for the container peppers, and compost/soil for raised bed peppers, I used garden lime as well as some blood meal.

Is it normal for the Chinese variety to normally look like this?
Other than that they seem fairly healthy.

Are these leaves similar to your plants? Are your plants have a lot of small branches? Just curious:

Whoa..somehow my post got double posted.

Yea it looks somewhat similar, however, my leaves slightly curl up.

It seems like all of the Chinese varieties I'm growing have this leaf pattern and are very bushy.

My plant is over 6 months old, I have two of them they are sick I considered. I do not know what kinds of disease they have. They have grown very slow so I removed them from the containers and planted in the Grow bag. I let them to die in the cold night but they are not dying.

I'd like to destroy them to avoid further spread the disease to my other plants. Finally I changed my mind and use them to experiment insecticide/pesticide. I spray bayer's insecticide/pesticide twice a day, they did not die one of them started getting normal leaves. I am not sure it is the result of the spray.

I am not an expert, just a new container gardener.

My pepper plants are about 5 months old I think. I've read that the Chinese variety tends to grow slower than Ajis. I'm new to growing peppers and just started this year, but it doesn't look like your pepper plant is diseased.

So you just sprayed pesticide on your pepper plant and the new leaves no longer exhibit bumpy leaves? That's interesting.

Are you growing the more of the same pepper plant variety? Do these plants also have bumpy leaves?

I've read in other forums about the bumpy leaves on pepper plants. Some have said that the plant can grow out of it. Some have noticed it with plants in containers, but once they planted in the garden soil it went away.

    Often they'll simply outgrow it.

most of mine were really bumpy like that a few weeks after sprouting. and then one day they just smoothed out, with no indication of what the change was. I just assumed that's what the leaves looked like. it's funny how plants have a way of correcting their own problems like that.
