Another view. Anyone think it could be a reaper?

Great shot. My first thought was that it looks like one of my young Ace chile peppers!

Wrong shape for Reaper. Looks like a Chinense though.
Not sure what it is but my guess is, it has some heat.
Keep us posted on color change :-)

Post again when you have more pods. I have nothing for you right now.

Thanks for the ideas. Have a sick feeling I paid for one thing and got something else. I'll keep the updates coming.

1 Pod per node?
Caylx looks Annuum to me.

Here is a link that might be useful: Species I.D. for peppers

Multiple flowers/buds per node. Thanks for the link.

Where did you get the seed?

I got them from PJ's.

Ohhhh, ohhhh, this thread is going to explode now.

Updated picture. Maybe a fatali?

What seed was it supposed to be?

Carolina Reaper

I also got Reaper seeds from PJ's... I have one plant that has several pods on it right now that are "off" in shape as well. They look like small ghosts rather than a scorpion shape. I'll post a picture later tonight. Out of 9 Reaper plants only one plant appears to have these type of pods. The others are just starting to get pods and they appear what I would consider normal at this time.

Here is a picture of the plant/pods. Not a Reaper imo...

Cool pods

Yes, cool pods. Those are looking like they may be pretty hot.

Finally ripe. Still not a reaper. Any guess? It was instant hot....
