Going down into the mid-30s down here. Went out to cover the coconut palm just in case.

We already hit a low of 11 degrees here...that's cold even for January. At least we didn't get all that heavy snow like new york and Minnesota.

We got down to 21F last night and the high temperature has barely gotten above freezing the past 2 days. It feels like a cold week in January. I only have my washy and livistona protected and they aren't heavily protected so I'm crossing my fingers they are okay. I'm not used to having to worry about my palms so early in the season. This weather is really insane, hopefully not a sign of another awful winter. It does look like another cold spell like this one is on it's way a week or 2 out but we will have to see!

I got most of the palms under protection last night (minimum was 23 F). I hope it is not setting up to be the same abnormal pattern as last year as well! I heard one idiot weather person saying that this was not related to 'climate change', but give me a break! What, another year of record heat and drought in the West and record cold in the East and South is now "normal"?! We have not had any snow, those upstate area of NY with record snows will soon be in the news again. There are already forecast of Springlike warmth and rain surging into areas now covered with 5-6 feet of snow. Talk about disaster!

found it interesting that have already set two record lows and two record highs in Nov .lol My low for the last two years has been 42 while I've already had a 48 and 51!!

Better than expected last night. Bottomed out at 40 degrees. Only got to 61 today though, but at least the warming trend is on.

We hit a low 16F here last week. I feel like we are in for a long winter. I usually do not wrap my palms till Jan but this yr I will have to do that this weekend.
