Jay - My Gosh !!!!!

I got your package today and I am overwhelmed. I gave you a list that I was interested in so that you could send me a few FROM the list. You sent the whole list, plus one. I got more substitutions and back orders on the last commercial order I just received than I did from you. LOL You are amazing. I think I need to send you some bucks for postage since you have spent a lot getting seeds to us for the seed swap, and now this.

My son and DIL are here from Nigeria and they have just bought a property not far from where Ilene lives. I told them I was out of tomato room and if I got anymore I would be planting at their house. They said, "Bring em on, we've got 100 acreas". LOL

    Carol,
100 acres. Now how my more do I need to send. LOL. You don't owe me a thing. Know you will either grow them or know someone who will. Still waiting on Dawn's list. Hope they all do well for you. Some I really like in the group. Was thinking it might arrive today. Jay

LOL No more, thanks. Yes, there really are some good ones in there and I am most appreciative.

Their new place has 100 acres, but a lot of it is wooded. The house sits on a flat area of 22 acres and they have had that in wheat for several years. They will have to put up a TALL fence because the deer will continue to come there for dinner. LOL

It will be nice to have them back in the state again, although we still don't know when that will be.

Since they are going to be close to Ilene, I will have to worn them about the dress code, and to watch for large bees in off-road crocs.

Now lets see 22 acres. Two acres out for the house and buildings. That leaves 20 acres. Oh my I'd better send a few of everything in my inventory. LOL. Glad they found a place close to you. Yes you might need to warm them about a lady in costume and wearing those croc mudders. LOL. Jay

Well it is under 2 hours from us, so that certainly beats Nigeria, Africa. Their inspections and appraisal are tomorrow so we will be heading over that way so I will get another look at it tomorrow. May need to help them pick out a garden spot. LOL His project is not over so he will be going back for awhile.

    Carol,

It is a good thing they have about 20 acres available for your tomato growing, because Jay has about 20 acres worth of seed varieties available. : )

I think Croc may have to start sending Ilene a commission on all the off-road crocs they're selling since she mentioned them and they became a hot commodity.

I hope the inspections and appraisal go well.

    Jay,

I am trying to finish that list. As I am sure you well know, it is impossible for a tomato growing addict like me to look at your list of available varieties and remain calm and rational. I have been trying really, really hard to only ask for the ones I really, really want to grow, and then narrow down the list from there. It is hard. I'll try to get the list e-mailed to you by Wednesday or Thursday.

As I work on my list of "Jay's tomatoes" and my own overall grow list for 2010, I find myself going in endless circles, saying things like "If I grow that one, I won't grow this one because they are very similar....." etc. It is so hard. You know, I can walk into a store or a mall with a mental list of what I am going to buy, find it, buy it, get out of there and head home in no time at all. Wandering around Jay's Tomato Mall in my mind, though, has no end and I can do it for hours....just thinking about all the possibilities. LOL
