I think I saw her there too, but I'm trying very hard to hold out for a local or local-ish to have her for sale. Part of my moral code is to spend my money locally, so after a good long exhaustive search, if I'm still empty-handed I'll order from BBB's.

Where are you TX? If so contact Emmerson. If your in So Cal you may want to wait for the Plumie society plant sale.

I'm in SoCal. When/where is a society sale? I've often been cast as an outsider in polite society. ;) Will they take my membership application essay? I'm hoping JJ's open house may have her and a Celedine.

the San Diego plant sale is labor day weekend...Island Plumeria w/Matthew may have one too...

I looked @ South Coast Plumeria Societies calendar and there is not plant sale listed...Hmmmmm strange thought they use to have one, maybe politics.

As for JJ's, John only has his own Thai Varieties not domestic cultivars. Also if your going to SD there are places that do sell domestic varieties, but I would avoid Aloha Tropicals and a few others in SD. You may want to ask some of the SD people if they know a reliable source for TLD around there locally as you are there. Matt in Northridge is a good resource also if your in the Valley. If not you can buy on line with Emmerson, he use to have a website you could order from or email him a request.. I personally have never, ever cut my TLD yet. I know if your buy Santa Barbara Jean Thielman sales and has some of Clare Corre use to sell some plumies, but I am not sure if she would still have TLD or is selling.

Hi Lnorigb - are you in Orange County? If so, I'm sure you can get one from Warren. His back yard is amazing. You can actually see full grown trees of: TLD (jaw dropping), Sundance(full grown tree is eye candy), Lurline(unbelievable color), Pops Red, San Miguel(so very, very pretty) and a beautiful tree with gorgeous blooms call Kani Olani(I have to replace this one). He has lots of other ones as well.

It is the Southern California Plumeria Society sale Labor Day weekend, not the South Coast. Both are SCPS. Last year quite a few sellers had Thorton Lemon Drop. The man in front of us in line was looking for it so he had mapped out who had it.

Island Plumeria had some a few weeks ago as I recall so you can check with him if you are closer to Northridge than San Diego. Good luck in your search!

You might want to check with Doug Jones or Irene Jones as they both sell and are in SD. Irene is probably closer to you.

Hi Lnorigb - Warren is in the city of Orange. So I agree with James that you should check with the people in San Diego because they are closer to you for ETLD.
