My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

Happy summer blooms....

Hello everyone! I'm super late to the 2014 bloom party :) I hope it's been a great season so far for everyone. I'm looking forward to going through all the posts to check out the beauties that have been posted. I'm sure most can relate to that fact that looking at other blooms can at times cause an "accidental" purchase of yet more plants! LOL Or it requires an inner resistance that I seem to lack. Which brings me to this year's confession (plumeria confessions are always fun). So far I "think" I've added somewhere between 11-14 (re-read "I think")I refuse to do exact counts so that I can remain in denial about my...um hobby. Really not too bad but if I did a total count now of all the trees it might be a touch scary. I'm sure I'm the only one here who has experienced this right? LOL

Laura - I'm so sorry to have missed you and Peg during your visit. Thanks to a crazy work schedule I missed all the festivities this year. However, I bet you had a phenomenal time! I'm hoping you managed to take a lot of "goodies" home :) Friends & plumeria! Does it get any better?!

Also a big welcome to all the newcomers! This is a great place filled with great people and more information than you could ever imagine.

Moving on to some blooms...

JJ Royal Silk, which has earned a not so complimentary nickname which I will leave out of the post. A little backstory on this one... I spotted Royal Silk way back in 2007 in JJ's catalog and have pursued it off and on since then. Thanks to a bit of luck and a tip from a friend I was FINALLY able to get my hands on one. Here is the stock photo....

Now mine... I don't know if I should laugh or cry! LOL Now, it's young and I'm trying to be optimistic and the weather was wacky so... I'm trying not to be too disappointed. Every time I look at it Bob Marley's - Waiting in Vain pops into my head... a sign? LOL

I almost like it faded better!

Dazzler-not quite curling up yet...

JJ Captivate- again wacky weather so not such good colors

JJ Xquisite-I've been blown away by how vibrant these blooms are! Yes, that's the real color!

JJ Thumbalina-most of the buds dropped on 2 inflo's so just this little guy.

JJ Desert Sunrise-really love this one! I can blame Laura's photos for the reason this one came home. So glad I did :) Thank you Laura! LOL

JJ Dragon Tears-Kind of a strange one but I can see the potential. Most of the buds on the inflo's dropped. Has a unique and pretty amazing scent. Fresh citrus/herbal?

    Love the DS and the dragonnTears.. OHHH my!! You really have done as much damage as me this year. I'm starting to worry about winter. LOL.. Ok, not really.., ;-)

    All,of your blooms are fabulous!! Xquisite is a beauty.. A new one for me !! It's so vibrant.. My eyes are drawn right to the blooms.. Firestorm does the same, just saying.. Lol!!!i

    I love your Royal Silk!! It changes, so keep an eye out.. My PW changes daily.. Getti g ready to post another pic as of today.. It has so many looks to it..

    I wished I had seen you out in Cali.. I know you were busy and our time there was full of wonderful friends and lots of food and fun. You all are the most gracious people.. But " I'll keep that quiet". We don't want to many to head to Cali.. Lol. I had lots of experience driving on the " 405". No problem!! LMAO!!!

    Seriously... Loved it out there. A friend asked when I was moving there? I said not now.. In due time.. ;-). Or Florida.. ;-)

    We need to have a serious talk. I was pretty good out there.. Really I was!! You know the temptations.. I even put back one that later I regretted.. I still can't believe I did that. Oh well... I thought I was being good.... Then I was having remorse pains... Lol...

    Rox - Thank you! I thought about you when I posted the scent for Dragon Tears! I know you like to know what the scents are :)

    Stephen - the jury is still out on my "score". I do agree though there is something special about getting one that you've been after for a while. I may be able to do a victory dance in a few years when it decides if its going to color up properly :)

    Laura - I miss you too!! We shouldn't talk about "damage" done this season because I haven't yet stopped! LOL I have had a few moments of worry when I look outside and realize that it all has to come inside. I figure I've taken over the sun room during winter and I may have to extend that to the den as well...LOL

    I do have to note that I picked up on the "hint" regarding Firestorm...bad bad bad :)

    Can you imagine the trouble we could get into if you lived in So. Cal? LOL Hurry up and pack your bags :) Seriously....

    Nicole - your blooms are yes, happy blooms! That is a very pretty Thumbie bloom for only pushing one flower. I like it a lot! I have 2 Thumbies and both bloomed on all branches, but the flowers weren't as pretty. Mine dropped buds, too. They bloomed too early I believe.
