i am assuming that you do have them on moist soil. after cold stratifying, if they are are warm and moist they should germinate in a week or two.

Yep, they are in moist soil. I brought them in a few weeks ago. They are covered with about 1/8" of soil, although I would suspect some are deeper and some are exposed. They were stratified for about 6 weeks, our weather has been up and down alot this winter so I know they got at least 3 freeze cycles, maybe more. I didn't have room to do alot but there were probably 60 seeds. I was hoping for at least a few. I'm not ready to give up yet. Next year I may try to plant them outside in the fall directly in the dirt with a wire cage over them to keep the deer from trampling them.

The reference that I have says that light improves germination; 30% with light, 5% without light. Uncovering your seeds should improve the germination percentage. Cold-moist stratification is not required. Germination should occur in 2 - 3 weeks.
