My opinion is......... You already know what it looks like, & all that energy going in to making flowers could be going into making roots!

Wish I could help you you with the I'd, that stuff is really difficult! Best you'll probably get is..... "It looks like this," or " It looks like that." You may never get a true I'd.

I think it's really hard to call without letting us see the whole cutting and all the tips. If there is some new growth trying to come out, and it looks like it's getting up some momentum, then I'd leave it.

I base it on this:

1) It is the best time of year for rooting

2) In one part of your photo it looks like there might be some new growth developing.

3) One of mine started an inflo, but I did not see roots or leaves. However, soon after, the leaves really picked up speed. I left the inflo and I'm glad I did.

4) yours looks like a beefy multi-tip cutting that probably has a lot of energy in it yet.

It may be very close to forming roots and when it does, they'll grow quickly -- and so will the leaves. Then you will have regretted losing in the inflo. If the inflo falls off because it doesn't have the energy to maintain it, then so be it.

That's not a call I could make since I have seldom ever cut one! I do have a couple of regrets, though. :)

I never cut the inflos off cuttings.
