They are just beautiful!!

I know with all of the heat we are having and the rain and humid conditions, they are loving this! Even tho we can't breath or even stay outside for longer than 10 minutes without needing a break.. The trees are in heaven!!

nativec: Color has even been deeper after several days at 100 degrees!

stormys: Yes, it's one of my faves too. It just seems to bloom better than some others. Although I'm not sure it likes 100+ degrees so much.

Tropic 7: I'd love to see a tree-sized Kimo some day! Maybe you can post photos?? This plant has a story. A good friend gave me this Kimo as a cutting....a very small dried up cutting and eventually the bottom rotted, so I was able to graft what was left (maybe 2 inches) onto an Aztec Gold rootstock, since I had several Aztec Golds. It took and grew very well. It's probably one of my best blooming plants. I can expect blooms every growing season. It's got four more developing inflos.

pcput: Yes, it's a keeper. I have two plants to make sure I always have one in bloom.

loveplants2: I'm sure your humidity is higher than ours, but yes, it's been a sweaty summer! You're right, the plants LOVE the humidity. My desert rose is loving it too. So is this your first grandchild??? That's got to be very exciting. Now your K will begin to appreciate all your child-rearing experience! We expect to see lots of photos in Sept.
