Can anyone tell me what type of beans are commercially grown for what is known in the can at the grocery store, Butter Beans? I dont what to get into the controversy of what exactly is a butter bean, because all I want to know is what is in the can! The standard answer is "it is a small lima bean". Well it is not, the beans are huge and nothing like a lima. Any Butterbean farmers out there?
