Thanks for the Famer's Markets, but the wedding is in March. In season, I will for sure visit those markets, though! Have been looking around, and not much in the way of floral material seems to be available at this time of year. About the florist's exchange, is it open to the public/retail? I was under the impression that most of the wholesalers required a tax ID number so they would sell to the trade only.

I was there once as a seller and there was no tax ID stuff.
A tax ID might be cheap, if you really needed it.

Do you know the address of the Flower Exchange in Boston? I can't seem to find where it is located. Also do you know if there is a place in New Hampshire as well that sells wholesale/discount flowers?

I think it's the Flower and Produce Exchange. It's on what used to be the Southeast Expressway in South Boston. Try a Google.

If you're doing the arrangements yourself, buying in bulk is definitely the best way to keep costs down. Some local wholesalers only sell to businesses, but there are also farm-direct suppliers that work well for DIY weddings. A friend of mine used FMI Farms Flower Wholesale for a budget wedding and was really happy with the freshness and pricing. They could be worth looking into if you're searching for an affordable source.
