Change fireplace

We had a 1970ish red brick fireplace that we changed to this stucco 1930 style one.

Did you stucco over the brick?

Thank you! It is beautiful-we have a fireplace as well with not so nice bricks so this gave us a wonderful idea that we may do as we'll- thanks again

I love what you did with your fireplace. We were planning on using ledgestone, but now we may go with stucco. What color paint do you have on the walls?

That looks wonderful! The style is integrated so well with the rest of the room that it looks like it was all designed at the same time. Love it!

Yours is the second fireplace redo I have seen lately. Both were stucco work. I love the warmth that the texture of stuccoed walls adds. The other redo did not have a full working fireplace. Instead they were hanging a gas fireplace that doesn't require flue ventilation. Interestingly, they had a typical brick ranch home that they had opened up the ceiling to the roof and added beams, much in the style of your room.

    Lovely. What is your flooring?
The flooring is travertine tile in the versaile pattern since the floor was not very level, it hides the problem of room not being squared.

The fireplace looks wonderful. It's great having a good mason to work with, they're artists.

Very nice! I think it's a successful transformation because the stucco fireplace fits the design of the home (Spanish style with open beam ceiling and stucco arches). Did you have the arched doors and windows put in as well or were they original?

    great transformation!

The arch doorway and windows were added as a special "bird room" (for enjoying our many birds in our yard). Previously was a solid wall.
