Gabberts Design Studio

If I could give negative stars I would. I ordered a couch in October 2020. We were told because of covid it would take longer and to expect our couch in February. We understood that and moved forward. February came and went with no news from Gabberts. WE contacted them and they told us our couch is in production we can expect it in a few weeks. So we waited, and AGAIN no one contacted us so we called them beginning of April. This time I was put through to a supervisor and her only answer for me was because of the Texas power outage my couch has been delayed and they have no estimated time of arrival. So I patiently waited again because they keep giving me a pandemic or a natural disaster as an excuse. The beginning of May came I received an email letting me know my couch was in production and it should be ready in several weeks. I responded to the email with questions and got no response. It is now the end of May I have sent another email, with no response. I have called with no response. I understand a delay, I have been remodeling my home during covid I know delays. This is no longer a delay and the lack of communication is ridiculous. They have done nothing to make me happy as a costumer who is paying thousands for a couch that I am still waiting for. 7 months and waiting. DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE! You will wait forever with no reason why. Save yourself the headache. The price for their furniture is not worth this. If I would have known this was how I would be treated I would of went to doc 86 and picked up a different couch same day while paying half the price.

On Tuesday of this week I purchased a beautiful Stickley sofa. My design consultant is Brenda Cooper and she was wonderful. I called ahead and told her I wanted to purchase a sofa and told her some of the elements that I wanted in this sofa and she researched a couple of different Quality lines for me. When I came into the store she was very prepared and showed me different sofas and also spent time with me on selecting the fabric. She was very knowledgeable about her products and I appreciated that very much.Not only did she have great product knowledge but she has a wonderful kind personality. I give Brenda five stars and I would recommend her to any friend in need of furniture. Thank you Gabberts! Thank you Brenda!!

Teresa Brooks at Gabberts was wonderful to work with! She visited my home to understand the project and my current decor. She was able to narrow my choices to ones that would work but still allowed me to choose what I liked and sent me home with samples to see what worked in my living room. Everything turned out beautifully and she was a pleasure to work with.

What a great experience shopping at Gabberts. I had been looking for some time and was getting really exasperated with today's too large furniture. Designed Teresa Brooks had such patience and creativity. She guided me through the custom experience, helped me select the perfect fabric and kept me in the loop every step of the way. I will definitely call on her again!

Positives: - larger selection of upscale offerings with a variety of price points and customization - very happy with some design choices - handled issues that happened during delivery in a complete & timely manner - delivery personnel were thorough and conscientious Neutral: - while management was available and listened, took little action to be proactive to ensure future issues didn't happen or proactively offer compensation for issues that did occur - expect to spend some money! Negatives: - timing.... started a project in January to be complete by Memorial Day. It is July and all but 3 items were late. Some we still don't have an estimated delivery! - some Designer 101 mistakes from a Sr Designer... a sofa table higher than the sofa and very top heavy/tipsy in a high traffic area and a coffee table that doesn't fit per the drawings - total lack of proactive communication..... we had to follow up on everything and the designer never had the answers handy, so we usually had to follow up with her on our follow up. At the end of the day, there are some parts of our project we are thrilled with..... some are still incomplete and we literally have no idea when they will be complete....so we would not go thru this headache and stress again.

Nancy has done several large projects in our house. She has a great sense of color, texture and and always is spot on with the mood of a room. The details in following through with each item is great-she is definitely my "go to designer".

Gabberts is beautiful layout of furniture with groupings designed for average to high end buyers. The Design Studio is top drawer quality. Qualified professionals providing professional demeanor and superior products. They put this together to hook you, your home, and products together. It's fabulous store in business many, many years . I feel Gabberts Design Studio deserves recognition and awards.

In 2004-2005, I had the pleasure of working with Gabbert’s Design Studio on two projects in Minnesota. Gabbert’s team of designers brought me on board to create murals and faux finishes for two amazing homes. My artwork and Gabbert’s vision worked beautifully together to create eye-catching memorable spaces for their clients. Lauradeen recently designed a master bath remodel for us. We have used her services before and once again are thrilled with the result. She was innovative in making the best use of two small spaces - one with tub and toilet and the other with sinks and storage. By using chandeliers in both rooms and stained glass in the windows, she created a soft, refined yet very functional bathroom for us. Lauradeen was very "on task" with our project and was easy to reach and responsive to our requests. I give her my highest recommentation.

I strongly recommend Karlene for any interior design project you may have. Not only is she a talented interior designer but she is also an outstanding listener and facilitator. Her focus is what her clients want their home to look and feel like and proceeds to move her clients along, step by step, decision by decision, to reach that ultimate goal. She gently and effectively dealt with disagreement or uncertainty between my wife and me and helped us reach a shared understanding and agreement as to which would be the better choice for us.

I have worked with Christine Sutphen on several home projects over the years and have been so impressed with her professionalism, courtesy and prompt attention to issues as they arose. I would recommend her to anyone who is looking for an honest, hard-working professional who will help you make your home look gorgeous!

Christine created a design for my living room/dining room. She was wonderful to work with. I especially liked how she really listened to what I said and respected my preferences. She provided design alternatives and was really tuned in to creating a space that worked for me. Christine was also very helpful during the renovation process. She was very responsive to any issues that came up and made sure that the furniture, rugs, light fixtures and window treatments arrived on time and in good condition. The rooms she designed turned out beautifully! Very warm and inviting - perfect for my husband and I! I would highly recommend Christine and plan on engaging her services for other projects.

Connie helped me choose furniture for my living room and bedroom for my townhouse. She came to the house and carefully measured every room and asked what I was looking for. We then met at Gabbert's and she helped me select the prefect furniture that would go well with my floors and paint colors. Everything turned out beautifully. Connie also returned all calls quickly and provided the information I needed. I was very satified with the way everything worked out. In fact, my friends and family said "your furniture is so elegant and it's so you". I can thank Connie for that.

The Gabberts design team is not the least bit intimidating to someone who is afraid of making a mistake or being sold something they don't want or need. They take the time to truly understand what their clients need even though most of them really don't know how to explain it. I say "team" because it isn't just their designers who help but the design asistants and management team help clients through the process as well. I never cease to be amazed at how much fun the clients and designers at Gabberts have when creating dream rooms and homes!

I am the builder who has worked with Karlene over the years on some large projects from new home construction to Remodeling. Karlene always presents herself in a very professional manner and is very aware of what her clients are looking for. I highly recommend her for her Design capabilities, her ability to help the client create there dream and her honesty/

Over the past 5-6 years, Connie has helped my wife remodel the interior of our home. This included choice of furnishings and fabrics, draperies, paint colors, etc. With one exception, the subcontractors she recommended have been superb. Connie dealt appropriately with that one exception, to our complete satisfaction. Connie is professional, knowledgeable and courteous. She has been on time for all appointments. I would highly recommend her.

Christine Sutphen did a great job working with me when I decided to replace some living room furniture. She listened well, was thoughtful as I decided then changed my mind on colors. She was always respectful of my choices and wishes for fabric, color and size for the pieces. I love the result!! She really worked with me. I appreciated her care for me, my budget and the feel and comfort I wanted to achieve; I did achieve all with her help. She was as excited as I was throughout the process. It was such a pleasure for me and I am so pleased with my new furniture.

I am a fabric and furniture vendor who has been working with Gabberts for well over twenty years. The firm employs true professionals who are always setting the new fashion trends and color schemes. My husband and I bought a three level town-home on a lake. When it came time to start decorating the home with furniture, art, ect., we enlisted Pat Manning-Hanson's expertise. We found Pat was able to listen to our wishes of how we wanted our lake home to feel and be. Pat focused on our dream and made it become reality. Bottom line, we are absolutely thrilled on how it turned out!

Pat Manning-Hanson happened to be on call when we called and asked for help refreshing our home. We clicked immediately and felt that she understood what we were looking for and could provide the guidance to see us through the process. After determining a budget, she helped us choose rugs, furniture, window coverings, paint colors, lighting, kitchen backsplash tile and countertops for four rooms. Pat was always available for consulting and answering questions and always took our needs into account without forcing her ideas on us. She is cheerful and optimistic and we enjoyed working with her very much. We've continued to ask her advice about other choices since then and she's been helpful. She definitely wanted us to be satisfied with the final product and went out of her way to make that happen. I recommend her highly in every way--a total professional.

The designer I used was extremely helpful in making choices from all areas of the store. We selected items from the floor to the Odds & Ends Room and was always available to answer any questions. The best aspect was the individuals ability to recognize the style and feel I was looking for from the first time we met!

Gabbert's still has such an excellent design studio and can do so many great looks as they have access to so many vendors and workrooms- they can do anything! It's a one-stop shop! The company is growing and doing well and pride themselves on excellent service & design skills.
